Samantha is originally from the United States and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (creative writing) from the University of Central Florida. Shortly after graduating from university, Samantha decided that she would combine her love for the English language with her desire to travel and seek a career as an English teacher. In 2015, she began to work towards her TEFL certificate at the University of Central Florida.
While studying for her certificate, she taught English to adults at a small private school in Orlando, Florida. After completing her certification, she moved to South Korea and taught English to kindergarten and elementary school children for two years. While teaching in South Korea, Samantha quickly learned that the rewards of seeing someone acquire a new language far outweigh the challenges. In early 2018, she relocated to a small town near Kaiserslautern, Germany where she teaches English. In the spring of 2019, Samantha will be returning to school part-time to earn a master’s degree in TESOL.
In her spare time, Samantha enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring the beautiful sights in Europe. She also enjoys teaching English online to young students in China. She looks forward to meeting some wonderful people in her new home of Germany and advancing her career as an English teacher!
